THE IMPORTANCE OF SEEKING KNOWLEDGE IN ISLAM

THE IMPORTANCE OF SEEKING KNOWLEDGE IN ISLAM

The Prophet (S.A.W.) said: “The pursuit of knowledge is obligatory upon all Muslims and Muslims”. Therefore, we should stand up and seek knowledge so that we can worship Almighty God.

because He says you know me before you worship me. So as long as a person is alive in his quest for knowledge he is not protected religiously or secularly in order to meet other necessities of life, such as knowledge of science or technology and the like.
A hadith was narrated from Anas son of Malik may Allah be pleased with him saying: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) say: The seeker of knowledge is the seeker of mercy, and seeking knowledge is one of the pillars of Islam”.

Dailami is the narrator.

This Hadith shows us that mercy is not possible until one seeks knowledge in this world, and Islam itself is not possible for a person unless he has the knowledge of worshiping God. In the same way, life is left to the ignorant who have no knowledge of how this world and the hereafter are going and how to find peace in this world and on the Day of Judgment.

It is obligatory for every Muslim to seek the knowledge of God from his youth until the end of his life, that is, when he is old enough to be diligent or seek knowledge. Because life has many opportunities, but if a person gives up his opportunity to seek knowledge then eventually he will find it difficult for him to seek knowledge.

O Allah, whoever sends this message for the benefit of the brothers, relieve him of the sorrow in this world and the hereafter.

O Allah, increase our knowledge of your worship and knowledge of life, may Allah fill us with faith and martyrdom, Ameen thumma ameen.
